GLASGOW INTERNATIONAL - CIRCUS BETWEEN WORLDS|2016|GLASGOW
BY WALKER & BROMWICH

"Walker & Bromwich’s Circus Between Worlds brings together a
maverick troupe of artists. Starting it’s life in the ruins
of the Iconic Alexander ‘Greek’ Thompson Church on Caledonian
Rd in Glasgow, the Circus Between Worlds will appear out of
the darkness as if an encampment has arrived in town, bringing
with it a bizarre and eclectic collection of performers"

For this site-specific project, Ayshia developed and became a
perpetual sweety-gambling and absurd clown.
She made her wearable sculpture from over 2.000 balloons.
Props included fake cigarette and a sweet machine that made a
terrible noise, a wig, face paint and gloves.

Ayshia drew inspiration from studying the work
and history of the Vaudeville performers for this piece.
