GLASGOW INTERNATIONAL - CIRCUS BETWEEN WORLDS|2016|GLASGOW
BY WALKER & BROMWICH

"Walker & Bromwich’s Circus Between Worlds brings together a
maverick troupe of artists. Starting it’s life in the ruins
of the Iconic Alexander ‘Greek’ Thompson Church on Caledonian
Rd in Glasgow, the Circus Between Worlds will appear out of
the darkness as if an encampment has arrived in town, bringing
with it a bizarre and eclectic collection of performers"

For this site-specific project, I developed and became the
perpetual sweety-gambling absurd clown. I made the wearable
sculpture from over 2.000 balloons, my props were a fake
cigarette, and a child's toy sweet machine that made a terrible
noise (part of the performance) a wig, face paint and gloves.

I was fascinated by vaudeville performers for this piece.
